How we started
It started with a bad lamp.
AmbientHours started in a one-room apartment in Houston, in front of a lamp that wouldn't dim warmly. The bulb was 5000K — daylight white — and the smart bulb's app could only manage a flat, fluorescent imitation of a sunset. We knew the home-lighting market could do better.
That single bad lamp became the brief: curate smart ambient lighting that actually feels good in a room. RGB hexagons that drift with music, motion-sensor night lights that wake gently, sunset projection lamps that look like the real five-o'clock sky, and ultrasonic diffusers you can sleep next to.
Three years in, we ship from a warehouse on McKinney St, answer the phone ourselves, and update the firmware ourselves.

Warm-tunable light
Sixteen-colour sunset projection lamps, seven-colour aroma diffusers, full RGB hex tiles. No cold-blue daylight tones unless you ask for them.

Ultrasonic atomisers and motion-sensor lights you can sleep next to. No buzz, no click, no fan whine.

Rechargeable batteries, replaceable pads and bulbs, firmware updates pushed for years after purchase.
